DENSO Alternator Replacement Brushes, #SA8201

Our experience shows that you can usually replace the brushes in these alternators once, usually around 100K miles. The second time the alternator should be rebuilt or replaced because the slip ring (where the brushes rub) may be too worn. Your mileage may vary of course. In 1999 and in 1989 model years one of two alternators were supplied. These brushes only fit the Nippon Denso alternator. If you have the Chrysler alternator these will not fit. Please be sure your alternator in a Denso before ordering.

Install Instructions

This job may be done while the alternator is still on the engine though it may be easier to remove the alternator.
