A Word About Repairing Your OEM Denso Dodge Diesel Starter

The OEM Denso starters on the Dodge Cummins Diesel almost always go for at least 100,000 miles, sometimes as long as 300,000, without a single problem. And then when they do fail for the first time, invariably it's just plain worn out solenoid contacts. This causes the starter to click but not crank, or worse yet, stick on and keep cranking. This also can cause the "20 AMP START SOL"  fuse to blow. Easy to replace, the contacts are very inexpensive. Our oversize contacts last even longer than the originals.

The next thing to fail will be worn out brushes, causing slow cranking. You can kill two birds with one stone by doing the brushes at the same time. Check out our rebuild kits below. Many of our customers see over 200,000 miles of trouble free starting after doing the contacts and brushes.

Our Rebuild Kits come in 3 stages. We recommend the #2.EASY kit if your starter has between 100,000 and 200,000 miles.
